Down Generation
Down Generation
In January of 2016, Jason West, current drummer of Murder F.M. & Evil United, and formerly of Cult To Follow, Pitbull Daycare, Wednesday 13, and one time touring/session drummer for Sebastian Bach, reached out to friend and Iron Maiden tribute band mate Mauricio Adan to write lyrics and sing on a couple of tracks he had written and been sitting on for severalyears. Adan agreed and West, enthused by what became of those first two tracks, decided to begin work full time on his first ever solo project. As the weeks and months went by, West continued to write and record new music Scott which Adan added lyrics and vocals. The collaboration grew and eventually Jason West decided to no longer refer to it as a solo project but rather a collaboration project between he and Adan. And so, Down Generation was born.

They soon found themselves in the studio of Union Underground/Cult to Follow founder, legendary lead singer and producer, Bryan Scott to record what would become the band's debut EP. West tracked all the rhythm guitars but brought in Evil United guitarist Todd Connally for leads and solos. Lead guitarist, Roman Surman of Wednesday 13 also makes a guest appearance on the name sake, "Down Generation".

The resulting EP, titled after the first song West and Adan wrote together, "Self Destruction", is slated for release in October of this year. Edgy, heavy guitar riffs infused with elements of punk and metal, built on a foundation of good old fashioned American Hard Rock is what you can expect to hear from this explosive new band. Songs like the title track, "Self Destruction" and "Down Generation" are in your face, heavy hitters, digging into politics, unrest, and the dismal reality facing today's youth. Yet, other tracks touch on more relatable topics like life, relationships, regrets, addiction, and the ever uncertain future.

Down Generation invites you to come celebrate the release of their debut EP, "Self Destruction" on October 28th with very special guests, The Taking and Remanon. Come witness the first ever live performance of Down Generation featuring Jason West, Mauricio Adan, Todd Connally on lead guitar, and we are also very pleased to announce that Jsixx Montero, bassist and founder of Murder F.M. will be also be joining the band on this very special occasion!

"If we all head for Self Destruction, would you ride"? Down Generation invites you all to "brace yourself for one wild ride" as we take off on this amazing new adventure! We hope to see you all on October 28th at the historic Sam's Burger Joint!
The Taking
The Taking
The lights turn off. Anticipation reaches its peak. The sound of electronic rock and metal permeates the ears as you realize something unique is going to unfold.

You're about to be taken in by The Taking.

Hailing from deep in the heart of San Antonio, Texas, the quartet could very well have called itself The Rising because the sky is the limit with this band.

Forgoing a bassist, the group was officially formed in late 2012 with the addition of guitarist David Work who joined vocalist Alan Lozano, guitarist Dominic Cerna and drummer Daniel Ross which gave The Taking that added crunch in the studio and on stage to mesh with Lozano's poignant relationship lyrics, Cerna's electric guitar prowess and Ross' steady beats behind the kit.

The band then released a self-titled EP and a series of singles. "Anywhere," was used as a playoff rallying cry by the San Antonio Spurs during the 2014 run to their fifth NBA championship. "I Won't Remember a Thing" made its presence felt on World Wrestling Entertainment's "Total Divas" reality show.

While many artists struggle for years without getting a deal of any type, The Taking latched on with JBM Management prior to the release of their first full-length album. JBM represents one of metal's biggest bands since the turn of the century -- Disturbed -- along with Disturbed vocalist David Draiman's secondary group Device. But it's not like such a deal came on a silver platter. The Taking have earned what they received in a very short time.
Remanon
Remanon
Remanon is a four piece prog-rock space fusion band based in San Antonio, TX. The two most veteran members of the group, Roy Buquor Hernandez (drums)
and Jeremy Matt Vela (guitars) began jamming together in 2004 after being introduced by a mutual friend. They started an instrumental group
called Accord of Dissonance, which bassist Jimmy Rodriguez joined in 2008. After a few years playing around town they changed the band name
to Remanon, still being mostly instrumental. In late 2013, vocalist Nathan Alvarado was seeking a new project, and heard that Remanon was looking for a lead singer. The chemistry was apparent during the first couple of practice sessions, and almost immediately Alvarado became the official lead vocalist of the new Remanon. The new lineup played their first public live performance on Dec. 6, 2013 at 502 in San Antonio.
Since then, Remanon has gigged steadily in S.A. and surrounding areas in Texas. They released the EP "Episodes" on May 5, 2015, and successfully completed their first out-of-state tour in Oct. 2015, which took them north to Kansas City, MO.

All the musicians in Remanon are native Texans, and have been around different music styles since childhood. Drummer and founding member,
Roy, got turned on to the complex compositions of Jazz through his grandfather when he would ride around San Antonio with him. Hearing all
the different leads and voices inspired him pick up various instruments always trying to replicate those heavenly sounds.
