Zack Walther Band
Zack Walther Band
The Zack Walther Band is an Americana roots rock power trio from New Braunfels, Texas. As versatile is the Texas landscape, the Zack Walther Band can rock the house with high energy, or slow it down with story songs from their life experiences. Zack Walther on lead guitar, vocals and harmonica combined with Matthew Briggs on drums, glockenspiel, tambourine and vocals; and Corey Shelter on bass and vocals -- they make more music than many five-piece bands. Zack and Matthew have been friends since the third grade, and making music together since junior high -- they “finish each other”. They’ve recorded several studio and live records over the years, their music is currently being used on two cable television outdoor shows, and they tour around Texas where their fans never seem to get enough.
Tom Gillam & The Kosmic Messengers
Tom Gillam & The Kosmic Messengers
“The edgier side of Americana coupled with a healthy dose of 70’s guitar rock” is how one magazine described Tom Gillam’s music and that’s not too far off the mark. In a career that spans 7 (soon to be 8!) studio releases and one live album, Gillam has carved out a special place in popular music he can easily call his own. His brilliant songwriting, whiskey tenor voice, and stinging slide guitar have become well known, not only to his fans here in the United States but also, to audiences all over Europe as well.
His new album “Beautiful Dream” with his band Tom Gillam & the Kosmic Messengers opens a new chapter in this remarkable musician’s story.
Working closely with his band and most notably lead guitarist/ song collaborator David Spencer The Kosmic Messengers have crafted a uniquely new take on a time honored style of music.
Filled with catchy hooks, strong dual lead guitar interplay and even a nod to some of "Jam Bands" of the early 70's more extended pieces, Tom Gillam's Kosmic Messengers have found a niche that puts them comfortably in a world that appeals to the casual listener or the real rock music aficionado alike.
Poor J Brown
Poor J Brown
Music rooted from the front porch soul of East Texas to the back porch roots music of the Texas Hill Country. From Southern Louisiana to the blues of New York and Chicago, all of these influences come together to create a sound that is strikingly original yet familiar. Leon Waddy plays the keys and writes the songs. Myles Smith adds vocals with soul. Matthew “G-Love” Parker is on board with the back beat while Clete Ritta adds the diverse sounds he gets from the pedal steel, mandolin, or a screaming lead guitar. Tim Germadnik keeps a deep rhythm going on bass and anything left uncovered is filled with the reeds from Matt Morgan’s accordion.

Poor J. Brown is not just Americana music. It’s American music. The debut CD “Hill Country Soul” has blues, funk, country, soul, rap and reggae influences all blended in different combinations throughout the compilation. You’ll hear the influences but even more than that you’ll hear what happens when great songwriting comes together with great musicianship. Poor J. Brown is all about these combinations. Great guys and great music…the end result being one hell of a great time.
