Born near Chicago, raised in South Texas, Aaron Stephens stormed into the rich Texas music landscape with his debut album, Hard Times, Straight Lines and maintained momentum with a string of singles released since. Blessed with rich, versatile, vocals that evoke legends such as Bill Withers and Stevie Wonder, Stephens furthers his sound with soaring Derek Trucks-tinged slide guitar, weaved together with stirring, heartfelt lyrics addressing the times we live in, the loves we discover, and the power of soul.
Aaron Stephens will tease his upcoming sophomore album, due out in October, with the release of it's first single, 'Satisfy My Mind', on the week of his 26th birthday, with dates across Texas and the Southeast.
Hailing from deep within Arkansas, deFrance is a new breed of rock and roll cut from the roots of only the best in Southern music and influenced by artists including Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, Ryan Adams, and Thin Lizzy. The band formed in February 2015 and shortly thereafter released their first record, “HOME.” deFrance has been on a continuous set of national dates since, performing more than 280 shows. Completely self-managed, the band’s recent 25-date fall 2016 tour included venues such as The Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood, CA, The Howlin’ Wolf in New Orleans, LA, and the Arkansas State Fair in Little Rock. deFrance has also opened for The Steepwater Band, Whisky Myers, Corey Glover of Living Color, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. The band has been in the studio preparing for their next record, “Second Wind,” to be released 2017.
"Arkansas" Dave Pennington was born and raised in the piney swamps of South Arkansas. The sound of Arkansas Dave is very much rooted in the music created by his predecessors. From the blues to gospel to rock n roll, his work comes full circle showcasing his raw talent. A self taught musician, Dave's songs are interestingly original, blended with the humble sounds of the South. Since his relocation to Austin, Texas, he has played with several Texas artists including Guitar Shorty, the Hard Pans (Jimmy Smith & Claude Bernard of the Gourds), Mickey White, Dr. Zog, Kari K and was the band leader/drummer for his own group, Ouachita ('wah-shi-tah).
